Lone Peak Law Group Marks One Year of Serving Southwest Montana

Lone Peak Law Group celebrated its first anniversary of providing legal services to Montanans in November 2025. Since its official establishment in Ennis in November 2024, the woman-owned law firm has focused on criminal defense, contracts, civil litigation, and family law. 

Founded by Marthe VanSickle, JD, MPA, Lone Peak Law Group aims to address the growing need for quality legal services in the Treasure State, particularly for rural residents. Many parts of Montana are considered ‘legal deserts,’ meaning there simply aren’t enough attorneys to serve the people who need them.

"Access to justice shouldn’t depend on your ZIP code. Every Montanan deserves equal protection under the law,” said VanSickle. “Looking back on our first year, Lone Peak Law Group is proud to have stood beside so many clients through complex challenges. And this is just the beginning.”

Over the past year, the firm has built strong relationships and earned trust through its client-centered approach. VanSickle, a fifth-generation Montanan, draws on both lived and professional experiences that span public defense, prosecution, civil rights work with the ACLU of Montana, and a clerkship with retired Montana Supreme Court Chief Justice Mike McGrath.
